Dorothy Mae Schweder

Seaside native, 80Dorothy Mae Schweder, 80, of Seaside, died Thursday, March 17, 2005, in Portland.

Ms. Schweder was born July 7, 1924, to William and Hilma Hill Salvon in Seaside. She attended schools in Seaside, graduating in 1942.

Ms. Schweder worked part-time in Harrison's Bakery and Selenes Grocery and as a secretary for an insurance company in Portland.

Family members said she enjoyed golfing in her younger years and was an avid card player. She was a member of Seaside Methodist Church.

Ms. Schweder is survived by five cousins, Beverly Fuller of Sequim, Wash., Wesley Malone of Kirkland, Wash., Darlene Randolph of Brush Prairie, Wash., and Donald and Thomas Hill, both of Seaside.

A funeral was held earlier.
