Sean B. Dugan, 50, of Kodiak, Alaska, formerly of Astoria, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, in Anchorage, Alaska.
He was born Jan. 15, 1959, in Astoria, to Alicia and Patrick Dugan. His father and stepmother, Marilyn Dugan, survive, residing in Astoria. His mother preceded him in death.
Mr. Dugan was raised in Astoria and graduated from Astoria High School.
He lived in Alaska for most of his adult life. He worked on boats as a deckhand, engineer and captain.
Family members said he loved hunting, fishing and motorcycles.
In addition to his father and stepmother, he is survived by a daughter, Frances Dugan of Birkenfeld; a son, Nathan Dugan of Birkenfeld; a sister, Mary Todd of Astoria; four brothers, Patrick Dugan of Astoria, Maury Dugan of Kodiak, Kerry Dugan of Arlington, Wash., and Timothy Dugan of Renton, Wash.; an uncle and aunt, James and Erika Dugan of Svensen; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Astoria.
