Rovella Margaret Sola

Astoria resident, 94Rovella Margaret Sola, 94, of Astoria, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, in Astoria.

Mrs. Sola was born Feb. 7, 1910 in Santa Cruz, Calif. She graduated from Ukiah High School in Ukiah, Calif. She worked at the Mendocino (Calif.) State Hospital for 40 years before retiring. She moved to Vancouver, Wash., and lived there for 20 years before moving to Astoria to live with her youngest daughter.

Mrs. Sola enjoyed crocheting, knitting, painting, cooking, fishing and gambling.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ellen and Art Ziebell of Astoria, Gloria Rivers of Grants, N.M., and Darlene Winters of Vancouver; numerous grandchildren, including Ardyth and Arthur Ziebell Jr., both of Astoria, and George William Winters III of Vancouver; many great- and great-great-grandchildren. One son, George William Winters Jr., died in 1996.

Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Vancouver is in charge of arrangements.
