Mae M. Tardiff

Former Seaside resident, 96Mae M. Tardiff, 96, of Monmouth, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004 in Monmouth.

She was born April 5, 1908 in Ripley, Minn. to James and Emma (Curtis) Martin.

She married Henry I. Tardiff. He died Dec. 3, 1998.

Mrs. Tardiff grew up in Clear Lake, Iowa, and moved to Portland in 1943, where she worked as a secretary for the Sunshine Division of the Portland Police Department until 1972. She then moved to Seaside and resided there until moving to Monmouth in 1991.

She enjoyed gardening, crafts and craft shows. She was a member of the Dallas Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Tardiff is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Winnie Tardiff of Monmouth; five grandchildren, Charles A., Bob Jr. and Janet Tardiff, Lorna Willis and Lana Miller; 13 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren.

Private entombment will be at Riverview Abbey in Portland. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Dallas Mortuary Chapel, 287 S.W. Washington St., Dallas, OR 97338-3403.
