Teddy Dale "Ted" Patterson, 64, of Warrenton, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, in Seaside.
He was born Dec. 27, 1944, in Michigan. His father, Ted L. Patterson Sr., and his mother and stepfather, Edna M. and Merlyn Bennett, preceded him in death.
Mr. Patterson built a successful siding business.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge.
Family members said he enjoyed hang-gliding and water skiing. He loved boats and lived near water all of his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and his dog, Buddy.
He is survived by his close friend and former wife, Bonnie L. Carter of Woodland, Wash.; a daughter, Dawn L. Crouse of Woodland; a son, Teddy D. Patterson III of Alabama; five grandchildren, Pohai and Kalei Patterson and Montana, Cash and Bonnie Crouse; three stepdaughters, Jessica O'Malley, Kasey Smith and Autum Utter; two sisters, Debra Schliem of Texas and Cindi White of Arizona; and a brother, Eric Bennett.
No service is planned at this time.
At Mr. Patterson's request, his body was donated to science.
