Virginia C. Mohr, 65, of Seaview, Wash., died Monday, June 16, 2008, at home.

She was born Sept. 25, 1942, in Hinckley, Minn., to Clarence and Marian (Gonljes) Curries. She received her education in Hinckley.

For 26 years, she ran a trucking company in Hinckley. Then for 10 years, she worked in road construction and was a member of the operating engineers union. Fifteen years ago, after experiencing three tornados, she moved to the Long Beach (Wash.) Peninsula.

Family members said she had many interests. In past years, she took pride in owning several Corvettes and participating in autocross races with them. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, collecting clothes and hair accessories and photography. She also loved her cats.

She is survived by a daughter, Tamara Mohr of Seaview; one brother; and two sisters.

No formal service will be held.

Penttila's Chapel by The Sea in Long Beach is in charge of the arrangements.
