Melvin H. 'Bubba' Wing Jr.

Home repair business owner, 60Melvin H. "Bubba" Wing Jr., 60, of Zephyrhills, Fla., died Friday, Jan. 2, 2004 at his home.

Mr. Wing was born June 20, 1943 in Burns, N.Y., to Melvin Henry Wing Sr. and Lillian Lynn Dey Wing.

He owned Mel's Home Repair and was well known for his aluminum construction work on mobile homes, family members said. He was a Presbyterian.

Mr. Wing is survived by five sons, Tom and Scott Root, both of Zephyrhills, Mark Root of Oregon, Francis Wing of Hanell, N.Y., and Charles Wing of Cohocton, N.Y.; three daughters, Bonnie Morton of Astoria, Rose Freeland of Asheboro, N.C., and Deborah Drake of Hanell, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; and a sister.

A funeral was held in Zephyrhills.

Whitfield Funeral Home in Zephyrhills is in charge of arrangements.
