County and city crews and Pacific Power workers keep us goingLike electricity, we appreciate the ease of travel the most when we lose it. With a convincing snowfall and treacherous freezing rain, travel on the streets and highways of Clatsop and Pacific counties has been challenging. To compound that dislocation, many residents have been without power.

At times like this, it is important to express our appreciation for the crews that keep the power on and the streets cleared.

City and county road crews have worked long hours. So have Pacific Power technicians. County road crews as well as city crews have worked diligently to make the best of an adverse situation. Similarly, power workers have been very busy with power outages across the region.

Our hats are off to those who confront nature's curveballs at this time of year. We couldn't function without them.
