I am writing to say thank you to a very lovely lady who helped us last Saturday (the day of the celebration in your town).

We were on our way to Ilwaco, Wash., when we decided to see the beautiful renewal of some of the lovely old homes. We kept going up the hills from one block to another until it suddenly dawned on us that there was no exit from any of the streets (due to the blocked off main highway). We finally turned into a driveway at the end of the road.

There, a lady came out of her lovely home and introduced herself. Her name was "Marcy," I seem to recall. Well, she smiled when she heard our problem and said she would get in her car and lead us to the bridge. We would have never found the way if she hadn't been so kind. If she is typical of your citizens, what a great place to live. Thank you so much, Marcy.
