I am very pleased that Clatsop County is committed to an open public hearing for the proposed Bradwood liquefied natural gas terminal.

However, I understand that the independent public safety assessment of the project and its findings and recommendations are not due until July 31, three weeks after the public hearing is scheduled on July 10.

I would urge that the hearing be postponed until the findings are submitted so the hearing can be held with pertinent information vital to the discussion.
