I highly resent your front-page story about the Cannon Beach bakery Waves of Grain ("East meets West in the oven," The Daily Astorian, July 31). The bakery is in Tolovana Park. We also are not in the "Tolovana Park area" of Cannon Beach.

I knew co-owner Hillary Hasson Fargo's grandparents only socially, but my husband, George Shields, knew them from Pendleton and Arch Cape. I cannot say for sure, but I'll bet her grandfather, James Hill Jr., would feel the same as I do. We are each proud of the town we live in, so don't try to lump them together.

Tolovana Park has a proud history, and we resent being classified as an area of Cannon Beach. I think you owe Tolovana Park an apology.
