Oh my. It's not a huge pot-boiling emotional turmoil worthy of name-calling, it's a matter of law. ("Demonstration planned today to protest arrest of immigrants," The Daily Astorian, April 28).

Immigrants who enter this country legally are not a problem. However, if someone enters this country illegally, it is a problem. They have committed a crime. If anyone commits a crime (legal resident or not), there will be consequences. In the case of illegal immigrants, the punishment for the crime of entering this country illegally is deportation.

Law and order, pure and simple.
