My grandmother grew up in the early 1900s, a time when multigeneration homes were the norm ("Democrats snuff out suspected 'coup,'" The Daily Astorian, Jan. 28).

Not to worry, liquefied natural gas or not, with the market in a downward spiral as it was back then, no matter where you live or what kind of job you have, the kids who moved away for good paying jobs will be back soon. So we better get the exercise equipment out of the spare room - the kids may need a place to stay for a while.
