The editor has misinterpreted what I said at the Astoria City Council meeting (“Of Cabbages and Kings,” The Daily Astorian, Aug. 28). I am all for new businesses coming into Astoria. My objection was the location.

The building where the distillery is now located is part of the Liberty Theater. That space was to be used for the badly needed dressing rooms, restrooms, storage and whatever is needed to put on a performance. There are enough empty buildings in Astoria to have put in the distillery elsewhere.
