Health care should not be considered a luxury solely for the rich and/or powerful. A good public option plan for the country will provide so many things for people in all income brackets. In the long run, it will combat a feeling of hopelessness that remains at a high level among those who can't afford it, will help stop insurance company fraud and will help stop crime committed by desperate people.

The public option needs to be thought of as a preventative measure and will benefit society as a whole. The government is wasting taxpayers' money right now by not coming to a conclusion.
