The Knappa-Svensen-Burnside bond measure is another outrageous money grab by out-of-touch public officials. The measure asks us to approve $695,000 for purchase of fire apparatus. Translated, they want a new fire truck. We just spent $600,000 three years ago for a new fire truck.

These people did not bother to write an explanatory statement for the votersÂ’ pamphlet because they could not justify the proposal. It seems like this is the norm for public officials. They have no grasp on how much is too much, and just keep heaping on more taxes for people who are already overburdened with taxes.

Vote no on the Knappa-Svensen-Burnside bond proposal. It is excessive.
