"The Death Tax." This is the new buzzword for the repeal of the inheritance tax being trumpeted to the U.S. electorate.

There are two inconvenient facts about this tax that none of the proponents of repeal will tell you about. This only affects the wealthiest one or two percent of Americans. They also constantly talk about the "family farm" and small businesses that have been devastated by this tax.

Funny, I've never heard them name one small business or family farm that was destroyed by this tax.

All the repeal of this tax will do is shift even more of state and federal taxes on the rest of us. Frankly, I'm tired of our elected officials of both parties who flat out lie to us when they tell us "we're doing this for your own good."
