To the Editor,

There are many great reasons to support Seaside School District’s upcoming bond proposal, but there is one overriding issue: the safety of our children.

Experts have emphatically informed us that a tsunami will happen; it’s not a matter of if, but when.

The other talking points are persuasive. It is true that our school facilities are outdated and the educational benefits from modern schools are compelling, but the bottom line is that we need to provide a safe educational environment for our kids outside the tsunami zone as soon as possible.

That’s why I am voting “yes.” I hope you will join me.
