We are a group of students in the senior class at Astoria High School. In association with Honors English 12, we have created a project focusing on children in the foster system. For the physical part of our project, we are putting together a pajama/sock drive to provide a small care package for children who are in the temporary custody of the Department of Human Services.

This drive is taking place through May 23, in support of the Assistance League. We will have a box for donations available at the high school’s main office. Because stuffed animals can be spreaders of germs and are a health risk, we request that they are not included in the donations. The League is looking for pajamas and socks that are brand new, for all ages and both genders. We thank everyone ahead of time for their contributions.
