Like many small communities, fire protection and emergency medical/rescue services in Cannon Beach and Arch Cape are provided by a dedicated group of volunteers. They provide their services day and night, weekends and holidays.

The community receives their services without the financial burden of paying salaries and fringe benefits. They require of the citizenry only the cost of their equipment and training. Please join me in voting yes for the bond measure used to replace a 25-year-old truck. The community will reap its benefit for another quarter-century. The volunteers deserve our full support.
