We have an opportunity to step forward and show our community support by voting yes on the proposed Seaside School Bond Measure.

The most important reason for a yes vote is the K-12 campus will give our students a safe and secure environment in the event of a natural disaster.

The new facility will allow space for future growth while providing continued innovative teaching opportunities and access to modern technology for students. This energy-efficient building will also save tens of thousands annually in operating costs.

If the bond measure is passed, the district, when possible, will hire local businesses and contractors to do the construction work associated with the bond. Also, as existing properties are sold, the proceeds will be placed into a dedicated fund that will be used for future campus repairs and maintenance.

Each of us has a responsibility to protect the children in our community. We can no longer ignore the risk of our schools being in the tsunami zone. Please vote yes!
