The Astoria High School volleyball program is hosting its annual North Coast Volleyball Camp, Aug. 14 to 17 at Astoria High School. There will be two separate camps.

The Junior Camp, 9 to 11 a.m. each day, is for girls and boys entering grades 3 through 5 in the fall. The goal for this camp is to introduce and familiarize players with skills, fundamentals and basic team offense and defense.

The Senior Camp, 1 to 4 p.m. each day, is for girls and boys entering grades 6 through 9. The goal for this camp is to enhance individual skills and fundamentals as well as implement and develop team offense and defense.

Both camps conclude with a tournament. Parents are invited to watch.

Coaching the camp will be Astoria varsity coach Angee Hunt, along with Nikki Gascoigne, former varsity players and possible guest coaches.

Early registration (received by Aug. 7) is $60 for the Senior Camp, or $65 at the door. Junior Camp registration is $35 for early registration, $40 at the door. The camps are a fundraiser for AHS volleyball and all proceeds go to the AHS volleyball program.

For information, contact Angee Hunt at 338-6088.
