BANKS — Banks scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth inning Tuesday, and that was all the Braves needed in a 5-3 win over Seaside in a Cowapa League baseball game at Banks.

Luke Stearns pitched a complete game for the Braves, allowing seven hits. Seaside’s Aaron Tadei and Chase Johnson gave up just four hits for the Gulls, who fall to 2-1 in league play.

Seaside took a 2-0 lead in the top of the fifth before Banks responded with five runs in the bottom of the inning. The Gulls scored their final run on a solo home run by Tadei in the seventh inning.
