Cowapa League baseball champion Astoria placed a league-high seven players on the 2013 all-league team, as voted on by the league’s coaches.

Tillamook junior pitcher Matt Strang earned the league’s Player of the Year honors, while Astoria’s Dave Gasser is the Coach of the Year.

On the field, Astoria seniors Andrew Bergeson, Cody Fox and Frank Leonardi were selected first team, along with junior Nick Strange, sophomore Kai Brown and freshman Carter Wallace.

Senior Jeramy Poyer was named honorable mention.

The Gulls landed senior Kyle Hague on the first team, and sophomore Zach Quicke was selected honorable mention.
