KNAPPA — The Knappa baseball team swept past Nestucca Friday at Teevin Field, 15-1 and 24-3, to officially earn the Northwest League’s No. 1 seed to the state playoffs.

The Loggers will wait to see who their first round opponent will be, with a first round state playoff scheduled for May 22. In the meantime, Knappa will play a nonleague game at Valley Catholic Wednesday.

In Friday’s sweep, the Loggers racked up 39 runs in their eight at-bats, raising their average to 14.6 runs per game through 24 games.
