WEST LINN — Farther from home, the Lower Columbia 10U All-Stars cruised through pool play, then went 1-2 in the championship bracket to place third overall.

Lower Columbia opened the tournament Friday with pool play wins over the West Linn Host team (9-2) and the Portland All-Stars (10-5), then defeated Sandy (9-8) to complete pool play as the only undefeated team in the B Division.

The All-Stars then opened play in the championship bracket with an easy 15-1 win over the Portland All-Stars Saturday evening.

It didn’t go as well Sunday, as the West Linn A team defeated Lower Columbia 18-7.

Lower Columbia dropped into a consolation game, where the same Portland All-Stars scored an 11-1 win.
