WARRENTON — Valley Catholic junior Liam Meagher had a home run and two doubles Monday afternoon, and that was all the Valiants needed in an 11-1 win in a Lewis & Clark League baseball game at Warrenton’s Huddleston Field.

Senior Nick Quandt pitched a complete seven-inning game for Valley Catholic, which improves to 4-0 in league.

Quandt allowed just one hit (Gavon McFadden).

“Our players are competing, and I still saw some positive things today,” said Warrenton coach Lennie Wolfe, whose team is on a nine-game losing skid. “(Josh) Biel did a much better job on the mound. We just have to keep getting better. We’re still in a position to do what’s necessary to get into in the league playoffs.”

Warrenton returns to action today at Catlin Gabel.
