WARRENTON — Naselle won a physical, hard-fought game at Warrenton Thursday night, 57-52.

Most of the points were scored in the fourth quarter of the nonleague game, as the Comets held a 31-29 lead after three quarters, then outscored the Warriors 26-23 in the final frame.

Leo Mendoza led Naselle with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Rob Baker added 13 points.

Reese Johnson scored a game-high 21 points for the Warriors, who hit 15-of-20 foul shots to Naselle’s 20-of-25.

Johnson also had six rebounds and five steals, and Billy Kerr added 11 points and 10 rebounds for Warrenton.
