FLORENCE - The Seaside boys golf team is in second place after one round of play in the Central Coast Classic, the annual tournament that plays on two different courses.

Thursday's round was held at Sand Pines in Florence, with today's final round set for Salishan in Gleneden Beach.

Phoenix leads the team standings with a 345, with Seaside close behind at 360.

The Gulls' Lujac Desautel is in in second overall with an 85, followed by teammates Peter Scruggs (88), Charlie Kloss (93), John Schmidt (94) and Mark Ulbricht (98).
