Former Astoria pitcher Matt Brause improved his record to 4-0 on the mound in 2009, as the ace right-hander for Clackamas Community College picked up his latest victory last week in a doubleheader sweep over Southwestern Oregon, 12-11 and 2-1.

Clackamas trailed 6-0 after five innings in Game 1, but rallied with four runs in the sixth, two in the seventh and six in the eighth to pull out a 12-11 win over the Lakers.

Former Fisherman Brenden Landwehr collected three hits, and almost hit for the cycle with five RBI's on a double, triple and a home run.

In a Game 2 pitcher's dual, Brause allowed just two hits in a 2-1 win, helping Clackamas improve to 10-7 overall, 2-0 in region play.
