CORVALLIS (AP) — Dustin Hurd had 15 points and six rebounds to lead Cottage Grove to a 47-37 win against Tillamook in a OSAA 4A boys quarterfinal at Gill Coliseum Tuesday.

Shane Maddess added 12 points for the Lions (23-3), who will play Mazama in a Thursday semifinal.

Jordan Schriber had 14 points and four rebounds and Timber Klahn 12 points for Tillamook (21-4).

Cottage Grove erased an eight-point deficit in the second quarter to tie the game at halftime, 20-20. The Lions then scored the first five points of the third quarter and never trailed again.

Tillamook scored four straight points to open the fourth quarter and closed within 35-33. But Cottage Grove answered with a 10-1 run – including two 3-pointers from Maddess – to put the game out of reach.
