CLATSKANIE — Knappa tuned up for Northwest League play with a tough contest at Clatskanie Friday night, and the Tigers provided plenty of competition in a 44-22 win over the Loggers.

Clatskanie racked up 427 yards rushing, and finished with 571 yards in total offense.

Tiger senior Cedet Bailey led the way, with 261 yards on 18 carries, which included a 60-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to help Clatskanie take a 21-14 halftime lead.

Clatskanie quarterback Nick Donaldson (7-of-9 passing for 144 yards) added two touchdowns rushing, in addition to tossing a 34-yard TD pass to Colten Puzey.

Knappa’s Justin Dragoo scored on 1-yard runs in the first, second and third quarters. He finished with 198 yards rushing on 27 carries, as the Loggers’ offensive line played well in the loss.

The Loggers play their third straight road game this week, in a league opener Friday at Neah-Kah-Nie.
