KNAPPA - The Knappa Loggers had all the points they would need in the first quarter Friday night, as they posted their second straight undefeated regular season with a 56-7 win over winless Neah-Kah-Nie.
Knappa (8-0) was missing Bryan Sablan (sore ankle) from the lineup, while Cutter Pember left with an injury and Eddie Corder returned but saw limited action. That allowed the Pirates (0-8) to make it a much closer game than expected.
Still, Trevor Oja ran 40 yards for a score, Dalton Kelly caught an 8-yard TD from Oja, and Pat Morgan had two rushing touchdowns to help Knappa build a 34-0 halftime lead.
Kelly caught two more TD's in the second half, and Corder was on the receiving end of a 12-yard pass from Kelly.
Morgan carried 13 times for 72 yards and Kelly had seven receptions for 126 yards.
The Loggers have a bye this week.
