Seaside made it through the first round of Class 4A state playoffs defeating Sweet Home 12-6 on Friday.
The Gulls faced Henly in the second round of playoffs on Wednesday, results were not available in time for publication.
Seaside had its fans all nerves leading into the first, but pulled together quickly in following innings with Will Beatty stealing second and third and Mark Thysell batting him in.
Sweet Home pulled ahead for a short time, but fell when Jeremy Carow hit a home run and Beatty kept swinging.
During the sixth inning, Sweet Home tried to pull ahead scoring three runs, but Seaside put in Sal Oros as relief pitcher quickly striking out the remaining batters.
In the bottom of the sixth, Oros sent Matt Mizell into home with a bunt down third. Beatty batted in two runners, while Thysell sent Beatty into home with a triple.
The Gulls did not fare well against Warrenton last Wednesday, luckily the game was non-league. Seaside lost 4-1. Warrenton had six hits for the night.
