It was enough to make me quit telling mother-in-Iaw jokes. Recently my wife's folks paid to have their kids and spouses join them on an Alaskan cruise. Because there are 11 kids in my wife's family, that made quite a group. I was afraid that accepting a free pass on such a luxurious trip would burden me with guilt. However, it's been several weeks since we got back and I haven't felt any pangs of guilt yet, so I guess I'm not going to.

We sailed out of Vancouver, British Columbia, and up the inside passage on the Sea Princess, a humble little craft approximately 900 feet long and more than 100 feet wide. There were 13 decks, though they called deck 13 number 14. Superstitious.
