Gladstone senior pitcher Hayden Smith tossed a two-hit shutout, and had plenty of offensive support in a 13-0 win over Seaside in a 4A baseball state playoff, Tuesday at Gladstone.

With 11 seniors on the roster, the No. 2-ranked Gladiators scored two runs in the first inning, and tacked on six in the second and four in the third for a 12-0 lead. Smith did the rest, striking out nine batters with three walks.
