ILWACO, Wash. — The Ilwaco boys basketball team had three players score in double figures, but it wasn’t enough Friday night at home, as Chief Leschi overcame a first half deficit to post a 68-61 win over the Fishermen in a Pacific 2B League game.

Reese Tynkila led Ilwaco with 18 points, followed by Calvin Baze with 15 and Alex Kaino with 13.

Chief Leschi countered with four players in double figures, led by Donnelle Irvin’s 19 points.

In the girls’ game, Ilwaco’s Makenzie Kaech scored 22 points in an 83-11 win over Chief Leschi. The Fishermen led 58-9 at halftime, outscoring the visitors 24-0 in the second quarter.
