TILLAMOOK — The Cowapa League’s biggest game of the week takes place Friday night at Astoria, where the Lady Fishermen host No. 3-ranked Banks in a potential showdown for the league title.

Astoria tuned up for the Braves with an easy 59-17 win at Tillamook, behind a 14-point night for Sam Hemsley.

The Lady Fishermen (10-6 overall) had all the points they would need after just one quarter, leading 18-2 after the first period over the Cheesemakers, who fall to 3-13.

Freshman Kelsey Fausett added 11 points and freshman Sophie Long scored nine for Astoria.
