LONG BEACH, Wash.- The family is welcome to challenge their legs and appease their taste buds with the 30th annual Beach to Chowder Run and Walk, in Long Beach,Wash., June 16. The relaxed 5K run/walk and the 10K run both promise ocean views as well as ocean breezes.

Chowder Run awards will be given to runners finishing in the top three places for women and men in each of nine age-group divisions. Trophies will be given to the top overall male and female finishers.

The chowder feed and awards ceremony will take place at noon in Long Beach with food and music. Trophies and ribbons will be presented, and there will be a drawing for prizes donated by local merchants. Nonparticipants can join in the chowder feast for $5.

Races will be held from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Registration is $22 with a short sleeve T-shirt or $10 without a shirt for early registration and $24 and $12 respectively until the day of the race (with no guarantee of an available shirt).
