Tay, Bird, Little Shark ... whatever you call him, Astoria senior Taylor Landwehr could be the key that locks up another state championship for Fishermen baseball in 2010.

He only plays one sport, but has two state championships under his belt, including last year's state baseball title over Baker, and the Junior State summer championship with Astoria Ford. The tall, lanky right-hander played key roles on both teams, taking over as the top hurler for the Fishermen during the summer season.

Astoria's No. 1 pitcher is hoping to be the latest in a line of No. 1's to pitch the Fish to a state title, following the lead set by Matt Brause (2006) and Jordan Poyer (2009).

Landwehr would be the perfect candidate, having never taken a loss on the mound at the high school varsity level.
