SEASIDE Tillamook and Seaside completed their doubleheader Monday night at Broadway Field, as the Gulls won another high-scoring affair, 24-16.
The Gulls finished their sweep by outscoring the Mooks 42-33 in the two games.
In Mondays win, Tillamook led by eight runs but following Tillamooks rally from a 10-0 deficit the night before, no lead was safe in this series.
Seasides Alex Habecker and Allison Bussert both hit home runs to center field to highlight the victory.
Whitney Westerholm had several sacrifice bunts, and Paige Ideue reached base multiple times on slap hits and bunts. She also made a running catch over her shoulder in deep left field.
Seasides Brittany West made big stops down the third base line, and Westerholm recorded all three outs in one inning at shortstop. Jordan Dotson and Stephanie Osterlund combined in the pitching duties for the Gulls.
Seaside made up the eight-run deficit over the fifth and sixth innings, going through their entire lineup on a two-out rally. The Gulls sent 17 batters to the plate in the sixth inning.
The Tillamook program is a class act, said Seaside coach Jen Glasson. Their girls were excellent sports, they made great plays and battled hard, too.
