KNAPPA - Wahkiakum pitcher Shelby Deaton struck out nine and allowed just two hits to lead the Mules to a 3-1 nonleague win at Knappa Friday.

An RBI grounder by Knappa's Danielle Donayri scored Kelsey Patterson in the bottom of the first inning, but that would be the only run for the Loggers.

Wahkiakum scored two in the third inning and added a run in the sixth.

Donayri gave up just three hits in the loss, with nine strikeouts and three walks.
