Senior Miss DenmarkMiss Denmark Maren Berg-RooperSr. Miss Denmark is Maren Cherie Berg-Rooper, daughter of Mark Rooper and Jennifer Berg of Astoria. She is a sophomore at Astoria High School. She plays tenor saxophone in the high school wind symphony, sings with the Port City Singers and is a member of District 3 Honor Band and Choir.

Berg-Rooper has participated as a cast member of the high school production of "Fame" and "Shanghaied in Astoria." She is a member of the Oregon Ambassadors of Music and will travel to Europe in July for 16 days to sing and play the saxophone in seven European countries. She has one brother, Theo, who lives in Portland. Her grandparents are Leslie Berg and Dorothy Rooper.

Senior Miss FinlandMiss Finland Lisa ShepardSr. Miss Finland is Lisa Marie Shepard, daughter of Jeff and Arja Shepard of Knappa. She is a senior at Knappa High School. This is her fourth year on the high school softball team.

She has been bowling since the age of 3, and works at the Silver Salmon Grille. Her favorite pastimes are being with friends, fishing, hunting, riding her four-wheeler and vacationing in Hawaii. Shepard has two brothers, A.J. and Jason. Her grandparents are Reino and Raili Vedenoja and Mick and Carol Shepard of Astoria. Her great-grandmother is Hazel Stephens.

Senor Miss NorwayMiss Norway Sara DrageSr. Miss Norway is Sara Lyn Drage, the daughter of Laurie and Steve Drage of Astoria. She is a senior at Astoria High School. Involved in choir and swimming at the high school, she sings with the Port City Singers and is a member of District 3 Honor Choir. She enjoys horseback riding, traveling and experiencing other cultures. She spent last year in Finland as a Rotary exchange student and visited relatives in Norway. She has one sister, Irene. Her grandparents are Ingvar and Alma Drage and Marilyn Kramer, all of Tacoma, Wash.

Senior Miss SwedenMiss Sweden Chelsea OgrenSr. Miss Sweden is Chelsea Meredith Ogren, daughter of David and Lisa Killion of Warrenton and the late Jon Ogren. She is a senior at Warrenton High School. Her involvement in school includes volleyball, band, senior class vice-president, Future Teachers of America and the National Honor Society. Ogren enjoys skiing, yoga, history, travel and attending family and school functions and going for walks with her mom. She has four sisters, Emily, Shanna, Claire and Grace (Jr. Miss Sweden), and one brother, Davey. Her grandparents are Charles and Charlotte Bergerson of Warrenton.

Senior Court ChaperoneStacy Sundquist is the chaperone for the senior court this year. She is married to David Sundquist and has two daughters, Rachel, who attends Mt. Hood Community College, and Sofie, who is 9 years old. Sundquist works for the city of Astoria and is a member of the local Teamsters Union; she has been a member of the Finnish Brotherhood since 1992. She enjoys time outdoors with family, beachcombing, camping, skiing and bird-watching. She also likes to sew, make crafts, garden and work out at Curves.

Junior Miss DenmarkJr. Miss Denmark is Brenna Abre Ness, daughter of Matthew Ness and Sherrie Ness of Astoria. Brenna is a first-grader at John Jacob Astor Elementary School. She is a junior member of 4-H. Ness enjoys swimming, soccer, basketball and four-wheeling. She attends Sunday School at First Lutheran Church. She has one brother, Matthew, and her grandparents are Shelly and Curt Ahola, Glenn Beelar and Bev Elliot.

Junior Miss FinlandJr. Miss Finland is Kaisa Dawn Johnson, daughter of Troy and Lori Johnson. Kaisa is a second-grader at Astor School. She looks forward to participating in Sharing Day each week at school. She enjoys swimming, soccer, T-ball, outdoor activities and dance at Maddox Dance Studios and with the Viking-Nordic Dancers. She attends Sunday School at First Lutheran Church and has one younger brother, Karsten. Her grandparents are Tom and Ione Johnson and Sally Johnson. She has one great-grandmother, Virginia Johnson.

Junior Miss NorwayJr. Miss Norway is Annik Soren Fremstad, daughter of Kristian and Jennifer Fremstad of Brownsmead. She is a third-grader at Hilda Lahti Elementary School in Knappa. She is involved in basketball, ballet and dancing with the Viking-Nordic Dancers. She also likes to go camping, ride bikes, read and bake. Her grandmother is teaching her to sew. She has one brother, Fridtjof, and her grandparents are Fred and Helene Fremstad and Clegg and Katherine Rasmusson.

Junior Miss SwedenJr. Miss Sweden is Grace Kathryn Ogren, daughter of Lisa and Dave Killion of Warrenton and the late Jon Ogren. She is in fourth grade at Warrenton Grade School. Grace likes softball, music, art, spending time with family, baking, sewing and church activities. She dances with the Viking-Nordic Dancers and went to Disneyland with them last summer. She hopes to attend a Swedish language camp in the summer. She has four sisters (Chelsea is Sr. Miss Sweden) and one brother, Davey. Her grandparents are Charles and Charlotte Bergerson.

Crown BearerCrown Bearer for this year is Mathew Williamson, son of Bob and Heli Williamson of Svensen. He is a fourth-grader at Hilda Lahti Elementary School in Knappa. He is involved in football and collects military memorabilia, stamps and coins. He rides his motorcycle around the back yard and, when bored, he teases his two older sisters, Marika and Maraija. Mathew's grandparents are Olavi and Soilikki Nauha of Kalajoki, Finland, and Robert and Patricia Williamson of Svensen.

Junior Court ChaperoneJr. Court Chaperone is Jennifer Fremstad of Brownsmead. She is married to Kristian Fremstad, and they have two children, daughter Annik (Jr. Miss Norway this year) and son Fridtjof, who is 6. Fremstad is a nurse, and enjoys gardening and raising her family.
