With the latest federal study about the toll obesity and smoking take on the health of Americans many people are asking how and where to begin making changes in their lives, which are already full of responsibilities, obligations and time pressures. Most people are aware of the dangers of an unhealthy lifestyle and the need to stop smoking, eat healthier and exercise. However, many are unaware of the cause of their current unhealthy lifestyle and how to make permanent lifestyle changes to create a new way of life.
Kathy Cleaver and Becky Benson from Newport have teamed up to offer a workshop called "Let's Evolve: Creating a New Way of Life," designed to assist people in making permanent lifestyle changes. The focus of the Let's Evolve workshop is on creating a life balance, peace of mind and purpose by clarifying core values, making changes and living a lifestyle consistent with those values and beliefs.
The Let's Evolve workshop is schedule for April 29 to May 2 in Neskowin, 10 miles north of Lincoln City. The three-day retreat is $295 and includes three night's accommodations, meals and a workbook manual. For more information, call Cleaver at (541) 867-4872.
Benson is a registered nurse and has worked in the health care field for 25 years, facilitating stop-smoking workshops and providing in-service training for staff. Cleaver is a communications major and has worked for 25 years in the media business in sales training and coaching.
